Integration questions answered

How do Guidez events reach GA4?

Guidez can send events directly to GA4 using the Measurement Protocol, or push events to the GTM dataLayer if you use Google Tag Manager. Both methods work without engineering changes after initial setup.

Can I use Guidez events as GA4 conversion events?

Yes. Tour Completed and Checklist Completed can be marked as GA4 conversion events — they'll appear in all GA4 reports, Google Ads, and Looker Studio dashboards as conversion actions.

Does this work with Google Tag Manager?

Yes. The easiest setup is via GTM. Guidez pushes events to window.dataLayer, and your existing GTM container forwards them to GA4 using a GA4 Event tag.

Does the integration cost extra?

No. GA4 integration is included on all paid Guidez plans at no additional cost.

Does Guidez support Universal Analytics (UA)?

No. Universal Analytics was sunset by Google in July 2024. Guidez supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only.
